Welcome to the Solitary Islands Aquarium
Your Window to the Solitary Islands
A window into the unique marine environment of the Solitary Islands awaits you at the National Marine Science Centre's Aquarium. Discover what makes the Solitary Islands Marine Park so special through our series of aquariums, guided tours and visual displays.
Dive in without getting wet and see animals that call the Solitary Islands home, including colourful clownfish darting amongst the waving tentacles of sea anemone, crayfish and sea urchins slowly cruising over rocks and ledges, the beautifully poisonous lionfish gracefully looking for its next meal, and brilliantly coloured angelfish, tangs and butterfly fish gliding over iridescent corals.
Located at the Novotel Resort complex and open every weekend and NSW school holidays from 10am to 4pm, a visit to the Aquarium will be a memorable and enriching experience for all ages.
Prices are $10 for adults, $6 for children, $8 for concession and $25 for a family of up to 4 people. Group bookings are available during the week upon request by calling 02 6648-3918.
The National Marine Science Centre, a teaching and research facility of Southern Cross University, also welcomes teachers and students to partake in our schools activity program. Offered throughout the year, the program is structured to provide hands-on interactive curriculum- based activities infused with current university research. More information can be obtained through our website or contacting 02 6648-3918.
